Natural Resource Depletion

 

Currently, many natural resources like copper and petroleum are being used up at a faster rate than they are naturally produced. Besides the environmental degradation caused by the harvesting of these material, this is a serious issue because somewhere down the line, we will run out of certain building blocks our society has become reliant on. As a member of society, one can slow this process by upholding the classic “Reduce-Reuse-Recycle” mentality. It is important to note that reducing your consumption of resources is even more effective than recycling, since energy is still used to produce and recycle said resource.
